You can export data directly from Takealytics into Google Sheets.

To generate a Google Sheets export open Grid Builder and build your report.

Click on Filter, select the Grid Builder tab and select the Google Sheets toggle.

There a number of options once Google Sheets is selected.

Creating a New Google Sheet

This will generate a new spreadsheet for this report.

Please give the report a filename (default name is gridbuilder). You can also amend the name of the tab in the sheet.

If you tick the "include timestamp in filename" that will add the time the report to the end of the file. This will also mean that a new report will be created every time this report is run. If this is not ticked the Google Sheet will be overwritten every time it updates.

A timestamp can also be added to the sheet name. If the timestamp options are not ticked the report will be overwritten every time it is run. If a time or date stamp is ticked a new tab will be created every day or hour.

Click Apply once you have configured these options.

Running the Export

To run the Google Sheet click Export at the top of the page. This will generate the Google Sheet. The sheet will open as a new tab once the report is generated.

Scheduling a Report

Once you have setup your Google Sheet you can then schedule it. Click on Filters and choose the Schedule tab. In here you can define the interval. This will automatically update your Google Sheet at this time. This can be helpful if you are building a report to be used by the team to see market changes.

Advanced Reporting

For more advanced reporting you can add Google Sheets to an existing workbook. This can be useful if you want to integrate multiple Takealytics reports together.

To do this enter the URL of the Google Sheet and the tab name must match that shown on your Google Sheet.

Please note the Google Sheet link must be held in the Takealytics domain. Please contact the Takealytics team if you need a new Takealytics workbook created in your companies Takealytics Google Domain.

Please contact the Takealytics team if you have any questions on the above or would like help building out automatically updating reports.
