If you wish to build a report which always uses data from a previous day or for the same time the previous week - this can be done in the date selection. This is particularly useful when building advanced reports automatically updating and integrating with Google Sheets.
Build you report,
Go to Filters,
Select Date,
Select Time and Date,
Choose Offset from now
Choose your Number of days back from todays date.
Choose the time that this is offset from.
Once you have scheduled and saved your report the data shown will be historical from that point.
