Once you have defined a suitable delivery menu, ensure that it is consistent across each of your platforms. All too often items are missed during menu load which means dishes are shown on one platform and missing on another. This could be a critical menu item which turns shoppers elsewhere or a side dish which leads to lost revenue.

Out of Stocks

When a shopper chooses a restaurant or food type they will have certain dishes in mind. Ensuring each of your key menu items are in-stock will have a big influence on the shopper’s decision. If the Chicken Katsu or Hawaiian Pizza are missing, shoppers may well switch restaurants rather than compromise on their preferred dish.

When a restaurant operates on multiple platforms it is all too easy for items to be incorrectly shown as out of stock and synchronisation lost between platforms.

In this article we will show how to review your estates menu - identifying variance in the range and in out of stocks across platform.

How to Run the Report

1) Select the Grid Builder analysis and type in the name of your estate. e.g. Frankie & Benny.

2) Click on Filters, choose Grid Builder and Select the fields Menu Items and Out of Stocks.

Sort the fields by the Menu Item header.

The report details the number of menu items shown on each platform. In the example below it can be seen that the menu items for the same venue varies across the platform.

This could be exclusive menu items on one platform or an incorrect load of the menu. Clicking on the link to the right of the column loads the menu on the platform and enables you to compare the same venue across platforms more easily.

Data can also be sorted across the estate to compare your menu range by location.

Certain locations may offer a different menu so we would advise exporting the data and comparing this to your internal data to identify the expected menu range at each venue. Adding post code or venue ID into the export may make this easier.

Please note Out of Stock items are not collected for Just Eat.
