Restaurant image or Hero Image is an important part of your estates branding and a proven way that consumers navigate the aggregator/delivery platforms.

Often when doing promotions or during seasons restaurants choose to change their imagery on these platforms. This is often the point that imagery can get out of sync and old imagery remains on the platform.

This is typically a very tedious job to review by opening each restaurant on each platform to review the content. However in takealytics you can quickly review the imagery across your whole estate.

How to Run the Report

1) Select the Grid Builder analysis and type in the name of your estate. e.g. McDonalds

2) Click Filters and choose Hero Image from the Grid Builder tab. We would also recommend choosing Promotional Text to review promotional consistency at the same time.

3) For ease of review we suggest changing the grid to show 100 items per page.

You will then see the Hero image for each restaurant across the estate matched across platforms. Note the resolution used on Just Eat means the image shown is a different shape.

In the below example McDonalds have a different image for one of their locations on Just Eat.

Click on the Hero image to get a full page view of the image.

To view the image on the restaurant click the Restaurant link shown to the right hand side of the column for each platform.

This image looks incorrect for McDonalds and we would recommend McDonalds may wish to amend this.

The image shown is always the latest Hero image regardless of the time period selected in your analysis.

When you export Grid Builder with Hero images the URL of the Hero Image is shown. Click on the URL link to view the full image.

Please note takealytics has no rights over these images, we are relaying the image direct from the delivery platform. We do not store these images and they can not be reproduced or used for any marketing purpose without the platform/aggregators prior consent.
