When looking at a particular venue you may wish to look at the number of competitor restaurants in the nearby area, their reviews, operating hours, delivery time and promotions and how that compares to you.

How to Run the Report

1) Choose Grid Builder and enter the post code of your restaurant in the search box. You can change the search radius from your post code. We would suggest 1.5km.

You may also wish to filter your analysis down to 1 specific platform e.g. Deliveroo.

In this example we have chosen the location of a KFC restaurant.

2) You can change the fields in your report by click Filters and then then choosing Grid Builder. You can choose any specific fields. We have chosen Delivery Time, Ratings, Food Type, Opening Hours, Menu Items and Promotional Text to get a broad understanding of performance.

This will show you the full range of restaurants nearby but you may wish to narrow down to restaurants of a similar food type.

3) To do this click on Filters and choose the relevant tags in the Food Type field. So for KFC competitors we have chosen Fried Chicken, Chicken and Wings.

The following competitor restaurants in the nearby area are shown.

4) Alternatively you may wish to filter to specific competitors which may not be of the same food type but maybe popular alternatives e.g. Burger King or Pizza Hut. To filter to this type in the Restaurant Names and press enter. Don't forgot to include your own restaurant. In this case KFC.

This will then detail your restaurants performance vs those rivals.

You can sort or export the data to better review competitors activity vs your restaurant.
