When reviewing a venues opening hours you may wish to see if it's possible to expand the opening hours of your venue on a platform. It's important to first see if the platform operates at that time of day in that location.

As a use case - in the example below it can be seen that KFC on Deliveroo opens at 5pm whilst Just Eat and Uber Eats at 10:30am for the same location.

In this example KFC may well be missing out on sales on Deliveroo as they are not open on this platform whilst the restaurant itself is open during broader hours.

We would suggest reviewing the operating hours in the nearby area to see if Deliveroo does indeed operate in that area and you could expand your operating hours on that platform.

How to Run the Report

1) Select the Grid Builder analysis and type in the name of your estate. e.g. KFC.

The default report shows the current delivery time/restaurant status if not open and the Opening Hours across all platforms.

2) Define the time that you want to check the platforms availability. Based on the example above we will choose 11am on Deliveroo. Click Filter and choose Date and change the time to 11am.

3) Click on the Venue Dashboard, this dashboard is now run on data based on the time selection. In the screenshot below it shows No delivery time available. This means in this case there is no other restaurants open at this time and therefore implies limited rider supply. As such your restaurant could not open at that time.

You can further look at nearby opening times by changing your analysis to the post code of the restaurant. In the example above this is EH54 6RQ

4) We have changed the fields shown to include Delivery/Collection status, Opening Hours and Fulfilment Type. Sort the analysis based on Opening Hours.

This details venues nearby, their communicated opening time and whether they are actually open at the selected time.

So in the above example whilst restaurants in this area do have opening hours earlier in the day on Deliveroo they are not actually open which looks to be a rider supply issue. As such in this case KFC could not expand their opening hours on the Deliveroo platform.

Please note if you do see venues open, check their Fulfilment type. They maybe open because the venue delivers direct rather than being fulfilled by the platform.
